Hey guys , i am back with another interesting post.
Today's post is about the marking's which are printed on certain things which includes food items, electronic goods etc.Whenever i buy some food products i used to see some markings behind it , i never tried to know what are those marking.So, one day i tried to get information about it , and i searched it in GOOGLE.
In today's Post i will discuss about Five Markings which is having a good meaning behind its marking.
CE:
CE is the abbreviation of French i.e Conformite' Europe'enne, which means European conformity.
It has become legal since 1993.It is mandatory conformity marking for products placed on the markets in the European economic area.
With CE marking a product manufacturer declares that the product conforms with the essential requirements of the applicable EC directives.
VEGETARIAN MARK :
Packaged food products sold in India are required to be labelled with this mandatory mark in order to distinguish between veg and non-veg.
This symbol is in effect following Food safety and standards act of 2006.
So Green symbol indicates food is vegetarian.
Non Vegetarian mark:
This symbol is also used for the products that are sold in India in order to distinguish between veg and non veg.
Its is also in effect following Food safety and standards act of 2006.
So Brown symbol indicates food is NON VEG.
BIS HALLMARK :
BIS stands for Bureau of Indian standards.
BIS hallmark is a hallmarking system for Gold as well as Silver Jewellery sold in India certifying Purity of metal.
BIS hallmark of gold Jewellery consist of several components:
1.BIS LOGO
2.Three digit number indicating purity of gold in part per thousand format viz 958,916,875 etc
thus BIS 916 hallmark certify to a purity of 916 per 1000 that is 91.6%, translating to 22 carats purity of gold.
Recycling Symbol:
It is a universal recycling symbol is an international recognized symbol used to designate recyclable materials.
In these symbols Resin codes are written at the center of this symbol.These codes or numbers represents with which plastic we can a particular product and what are its uses.
So, I think You my have got certain idea about these symbols.Next time whenever you see such marking , you should be in a position to identify it and get a knowledge about the product.
Last words :
These Labels on products confirms certain requirements which are provided by the company to customer's.Hence these labels are becoming important on each and every product nowadays in many countries including INDIA.
